Mike Nelson
- CEO - Sales - I have been in the business forms industry for
43 years, spending the first 31 years with Northstar Computer Forms. In
1995, my wife Betty Lou and I decided to try it on our own. We were fortunate
to have our son, Scott, join us in this venture. In addition, we were
fortunate to be able to hire a great staff that worked hard and endeavored
in developing a quality product. During the past 11 years, we have kept
up with technology by adding a state-of-the-art digital prepress system,
which allows us to plate directly from your electronic file, and produce
contract-quality, 8-color digital proofs. We've added printing towers
to our presses and added UV drying so that we can print high quality ink
colors in perfect register, even on coated papers. We have also enhanced
our bindery to lead us more to the commercial printing part of our industry.
Riteway has evolved into a nice business, of which I am very proud. The
greatest assets to our growth have been our awareness of our customers
requiring a quality product and our giving customers a sense that we would
deliver their orders on time and done correctly. Our dedication has always
been to our customers, and will remain as we continue to grow. Unfortunately,
I lost my wife Betty Lou in March of 2006, but I am proud to say I still
have Scott working with me, and my daughter, Kim, has joined us as well.
I also have a dedicated staff, which ensures that our customers can rely
on us. I've enjoyed Riteway Business Forms and will continue to enjoy
it for the foreseeable future. |

Scott Nelson
- Vice President
- Sales - Scott has been in the printing industry for over 20 years,
starting out as a bindery helper as a teenager. During his career, he
has held positions including short-run press operator, letterpress operator,
sheet fed and web-based press operator. His extensive experience in web-based
press operations enables him to relate and adhere to the demands of strict
production guidelines. Scott has served as Riteways General Manager
for the past 11 years, using his expertise in day-to-day production to
enhance his role as sales representative and overall production coordinator. |
Scott Saari. - CFO - Controller - Scott received his education at the University of Minnesota and started his accounting career in 1980, when he became a controller for a national plumbing wholesaler. He, then, began his own accounting practice in 1985 and in 1992 was asked to join a local CPA firm and manage the small business division. He performed that function for eighteen years. Joining the Riteway team, Scott has over 20 years of experience managing the financial affairs of multiple printing companies. He looks forward to help manage the growth and prosperity of Riteway.
"I have worked with RIteway for over 10 years and I am proud to become part of such a quality group of people, and to join a company dedicated to building long-term relationships with customers, vendors and employees" |
Chris
Nelson - General
Manager - Sales - Chris joined the Riteway Team in December of 2006.
He brings with him more than 13 years of printing expertise and over 20
years of management experience. His dedication to customer service and
business development will help anchor Riteway's reputation as an industry
leader. |
Mike J.
- Plant Manager - Mike began his printing industry career in 1990
as a shipping/receiving clerk. He quickly was promoted and trained for
a position as a press operator, and has been running a press since then.
His press experience ranges from running small, sheet-fed presses to eight-color
web presses, and he currently operates our six-color, laser ink-compatible
web press.
As our Plant Manager, Mike oversees production and coordinates schedules
in all manufacturing areas of the company. He works closely with our sales
staff to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on schedule. In addition,
he maintains contact with industry representatives in his quest to achieve
ultimate efficiency in the plant. In his eight-plus years with Riteway,
Mike has been instrumental in our ability to not only keep up with the
industry's latest trends and technology, but also ensure our goal of delivering
a quality product in the most proficient manner possible. |

Dolly H.
- Sales Manager - Dolly started out in business forms production
as a bindery helper. Since then, she has held positions such as plate
maker, typesetter, estimator, customer service representative, prepress
manager, sales representative (since 1993), and most recently, Sales Manager.
Dolly possesses critical skills related to detail orientation, demand
for product quality and accuracy as well as rigorous coordination of production
schedules. Her extensive knowledge of the business forms industry, and
her strong business ethics have proven invaluable to the success of our
customers and to Riteway. |
Jim Congdon - Outside Sales - Jim has been in the printing industry for nearly 40 years. He began as a pressman for PegBoard Systems in 1970 and was promoted to sales in 1977. Jim purchased PegBoard Systems in 1980 and had been in business for 30 years. In 1985 he was elected to the board of directors for NBS Systems and served as chairman for 12 years.
In December 2009 Jim closed Pegboard and decided to join the Riteway Team as a salesman. Jim felt the added capabilities and services that Riteway offered to his customers was the perfect fit. It was important to him that Riteway is 100% distributor and print industry sales. “It means a lot when I can tell a dealer or printer that Riteway will never attempt to sell direct to their customers”. If you are not already working with Jim, he would be happy to setup an appointment to meet and discuss how Riteway can benefit you and your printing needs.
